Training from Bartow
About 25 minutes from Bartow via SR-540 / Winter Lake Road and Cypress Gardens Blvd.
Bartow sits about 25 minutes west of us along Winter Lake Road. It is the county seat, but full-time grappling instruction is thin on the ground there, so Bartow families who want real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo — not a mixed program that touches grappling once a month — usually end up driving toward Winter Haven or Lakeland.
The evening block works best from Bartow: kids at 5:00 PM or 5:45 PM, adults at 6:45 PM, so a parent and child can train the same night and drive home together. Homeschool families come in the mid-morning block instead and are back in Bartow by lunchtime.
